Who are we?
I am Jure Gradišnik, the founder of Hiša gob (House of Mushrooms), a graduate economist by profession, who decided to end his career as a banker and dedicate his life to his love of mushroom cultivation. At the beginning of 2021, I opened a company and started selling mycelium through the websites Bolha and Ebay in Slovenia and the European Union, and later the demand spread to other countries of the world. Thus, the mycelium developed in my laboratory is present on all five continents of the world. The archive is growing day by day, and today you can find over 20 different types of mycelium in the Hiša gob offer.
I am Kaja Gradišnik, a microbiologist and a student at the Biotechnical Faculty in Ljubljana, where I am studying for a master's degree. My passion for the microscopic world has always accompanied me, and during my studies I also became fascinated by the medicinal properties of mushrooms. At the House of Mushrooms, I help my father with laboratory work and introduce professional practices that ensure the highest quality products.
